In addition, blue [Contract Spirit Card], [Partner Lion, Raon] has a new ability called [AFO(All for One)] and this deck battles with this effect as its main engine. Even if the Vassals are not attacking/blocking, they endowed Raon with their AFO abilities. Raon can then, activate their powerful effects when attacking/blocking. As the tactic of this deck is having the effects being consolidated onto 1 Spirit, it has a weakness of not being able to exhibit its potential if the key card is not summoned onto the field. However, as you can add a Contract card into your hand at the beginning of the game ensured the stability of the deck. Speaking of Raon, there’s another point to bring up. After [First Partner], the original animated CM for [Rise of Rivals] is also officially released on Battle Spirits official Youtube channel!
In the animated CM specially drawn for this product, [Wanderer Dan] and [Gurowa] had an intense battle against the opposing Raon. The character settings of the animation were created with reference to the illustrations of the cards and the fighting posture of the spirits that cannot be represented by card image alone are being depicted through the animation. As it is a fast and powerful battle scene, be sure to catch it! In addition, [Wanderer Dan] finally met his rival [Contract user X]. They are in opposition to achieve their goals due to a certain contract. How would their battle end up? Find out from collecting [Rise of Rivals] and read the lore within!

Due to the first feature of [Wanderer Dan]’s rival in [Rise of Rivals], the campaign promotion will be based on [Contract Spirit Card] and [The Moonlight Dragon Strike-Siegwurm] that belongs to [Bashin Dan]’s rival in [Battle Spirits Brave], [Moonlight Barone]. Initially, in the planning stage of [Contract Card], there was already plans to make ‘My Friend’ which is [Strike Siegwurm] a contract card. However, at the early stage of [Contract Saga] the other Contract Spirit cards can be summoned on the first turn, hence we decided not to include a high-cost Contract Spirit card off the bat. As [Strike Siegwurm] is a cost 6 spirit, if we want to let it be summoned on the first turn, we have to reduce its cost. But if we have done so, it would have destroyed the card’s image. Hence, we have been considering how to fit in a cost 6 Contract Spirit card after players are used to the gimmick of [Contract Spirit]. We included [Strike Siegwurm] in [Rise of Rivals] as a cost 6 Contract spirit cards, and also included support cards to allow the summoning of the card during turn 2, fulfilling the transformation to a Contract Spirit card. Apart from the point above, there are also many ideas to make a high-cost Contract Spirit card playable. Please look forward to upcoming Contract Spirit cards!

We have also tried a new burst condition in [Rise of Rivals]. Burst cards are not restricted by color and cost-free while being able to activate strong effects since the beginning, making them irreplaceable in a deck. At the same time, we feel that we have restricted the construction of a deck due to the staleness of the conditions, and hence we have implemented a new burst condition [After your spirit leaves the field due to opponent] in hopes to increase the choice of burst. The new burst condition is an improvement to the previous [After your spirit is destroyed/depleted your opponent] which lets you deal with effects that return cards to the hand or deck. (Do take note that it is not usable when you maintain a noncontract descend contract spirit card as soul state). This time, the special burst condition was given to Red X Rare [Annihilation Dragon Unit, Omega Dragonis] and we intent to give them to other color’s X Rare cards.
In addition, we also featured many cards to improve Contract Spirit decks from [First Partner] and [Liberation of God]. Do utilize them for different decks.

Contrary to the modernized mechanical style of [Stark], [Vrick] is a contract spirit with the style of steel made toys and western cowboy design. Hence the deck will have a battle style like western cowboy!
After that, in the fierce battle against [Contract user X], [Wanderer Dan] received a new contract descent form of his Contract Spirits. The new forms will be recorded as Campaign Promotional X Rare.
Also, [Dan’s Bladra] that went on journey together with [Wanderer Dan] will also be featured as a contract spirit and there will also be 2 contract descent spirit for [Dan’s Bladra]. A particular effect that can be linked to ‘Dragon’ will be featured. Make a guess while anticipating it! [Beyond Evolution], being the first series of 15th anniversary and the last volume of [Contract Saga], Campaign X Rare and higher rates of X Rare will be included in the packs as a campaign promotion!
