As the series of 2023, [contract Saga: Kai] is a rare case of new series with no need gimmicks.
As we launched [Contract Saga: Kai], we mentioned that the aim was to [Slow down the meta]. As a part of the strategies, we included some Contract Spirits in [Contract Saga: Kai] with the effect to control life decrease. As a result, we noticed that these cards did not decrease the speed of this meta.

In a meta where every single card has a high power, the strategy to prevent the end of attack step and reduce opponent’s life is a better strategy as compared to battle while protecting your own life. We felt the point of speed = power, which resulted in the absolute reason when choosing a deck.
On the other hand, cards can be produced to deter these powerful attacks, but it will only lead to numerical inflation and not be able to solve the root of the problems. Even in the meta of [Contract Saga: Shin], we will continue to closely monitor the speed of the meta and will not produce cards that will advance this meta even more.

The opening chapter of the new series, [Contract Saga: Shin Vol.1 Battle of the Gods] is finally on sale on 27th April (Sat.)!

Continuing from [Contract Spirit] and [Contract Ultimate], the third type of Contract card, [Contract GranWalker Nexus] officially joins in the fray and we feel that it is a product that will be game changing in the meta.
Regarding [Contract GranWalker Nexus], it is very suitable with [Contract Card] as they can be added into your hand at the beginning of the game. At the beginning, we expected it to be a gimmick that would be well received.
As the [Olyn] and other past popular GranWalkers enter one after another, new GranWalker Nexus and other new forces will also be joining in. We feel that it will enhance the diversity of characters. Moving forward, new GranWalkers will continue to enter the game. Please look forward to what other GranWalkers will appear!

Regarding [Contract GranWalker Nexus], as the new world view and visual effects, the production team has agreed to the idea of bringing in new characters and the production of new decks, but for the current GranWalker decks, there remains with much discussion.
We can also separate the new from the old decks and produce new decks with [Contract GranWalker Nexus] as the core, but as it was a popular gimmick, we feel that most people have deep ties with their decks from before and hence we produced the cards in such a way that they can coexist with cards from the past in a deck.
We also produced new cards to ensure cards from the booster packs and promotional cards from events can be constructed in a deck, with the possibility of being combined with old cards, as well as to expand the card pools to expand the radius of deck construction.
In addition, we will be following up on future products and promotions regarding some past cards that are difficult to obtain, so please wait for that.

According to the notice from BS Special research team, we will skip the limitation and place upon an emergency ban on [BS52-017 The Netherealm Great Sorcerer, Echezeaux] from 1st May 2024.

As this happened before the release of the new set, we sincerely apologize if it caused any inconveniences. As we did not notice the loop with [BS68-CX01 The Sorcerer Contractor, Hades], [BS52-017 The Netherealm Great Sorcerer, Echezeaux] and a resurrection magic card during the play test, and it was not done in intention during the production stage. It is our mistake to not notice this highly replicable loop, we will keep on our toes from now on to ensure this situation will not happen again.
Also, as a part of the production team, we don’t despise loops itself, but we feel that the replicability is an issue and deemed that it could interrupt the Battle Spirits 3on3 as well as the meta as a whole. As such, we decided to take actions to this immediately.
